Night of the Living Dead (1968) is a seminal black-and-white horror film where a group of seven strangers—including Ben and a catatonic Barbra—barricade themselves inside a Pennsylvania farmhouse to survive a night-long siege by reanimated, flesh-eating corpses (ghouls).
Following a radiation-exposed satellite returning from Venus, the dead reanimate with a hunger for human flesh. Siblings Barbra and Johnny are attacked at a cemetery, leading Barbra to flee to a farmhouse, where she joins Ben, a resourceful man attempting to secure the house.
