In January 2024, I played an indie game called “Heaven Will Be Mine”, a visual novel about queer women battling across space factions. The writing was incredibly abstract and esoteric as much as it was poetic, and there was a quote from it that really struck me — “until you find your answer on earth, you will never touch heaven.” I’m not sure how much I agree with this statement, but it affected me deeply enough that I wanted to write music about it. My response is this: I know heaven will be yours, because I watched you touch it. you’re exactly where you’re meant to be — wherever you are, I’m sure of it.
